square of sand, a group collaboration between noah and i, at caples lake, in the sierra nevadas. at first, noah's idea of a perfectly edged square seemed daunting, but as we experimented with a combination of dry and wet sand, and diligently worked at creating sharp edges, the project eventually came to a successful completion, even staying intact the next morning.
